Horizon Sexual Violence Services embrace a holistic approach to peoples journey of healing.
In November 2020 in collaboration with Lisa Burkl, Glass Artist, Horizon launched their online creative therapy art courses.
An art kit was delivered to each of the individuals homes and over a course of six weeks, participants were invited to take part in zoom sessions of self discovery, using different mediums of art.
With the aims of building connections to other survivors of Sexual Violence, improving wellbeing as well as trying new techniques the project, funded by The Big Lottery, has had excellent feedback and continues to have a waiting list of new referrals waiting to join.
In recognition of the courses completed so far, we will be celebrating with a Zoom screening of the story so far and an online exhibition of the course content and completed pieces.
